Privacy policy
We collect as little as possible, we use it only to do the work you asked for, and we treat it the way we would want our own treated. Here is the detail.
Who we are
Worth Building is an advisory practice run by Frances Ibe. You can reach us at frances@worthbuilding.io about anything on this page.
For the purposes of UK data protection law, Worth Building is the data controller for the personal data described here.
What we collect
When you use the Pressure Test, general conversation or Value Proof enquiry forms, we collect the details you give us. That is your name, email address, company or organisation, role and whatever you choose to tell us about your decision, investment or situation. Value Proof enquiries also record whether you are asking about early access or use by your team. We store submitted enquiries securely and send a notification to Frances by email.
To protect the Value Proof forms from abuse, we keep a short-lived, hashed record of the network address and email address used for submission attempts. These records are deleted on subsequent submissions after one day and are not used for marketing.
We also keep a record of how you arrived at the form. That includes the page and section you came from, the link you clicked, your original landing page, the site that referred you, and any campaign parameters (such as UTM tags) in the link you followed. We use this to understand which of our writing and which conversations are genuinely useful.
Separately, we record anonymous behavioural events such as which links were clicked and when a form was started. These events contain no name, email address, company or free-text content, and they are stored apart from your enquiry.
We do not run advertising trackers, we do not record your session, and we do not buy data about you from anyone.
Partially completed forms
The Pressure Test and general conversation forms save what you enter as you go, once you have typed a valid email address. We do this so that an interrupted enquiry is not lost and so we can understand where people abandon the forms. Value Proof forms only save your details when you submit them; unfinished Value Proof enquiries are not stored.
If you leave without sending, the incomplete enquiry is kept for up to 30 days and then deleted automatically. It is never used to add you to marketing emails, and we will not contact you about an unfinished form.
How we use it
We use your details to respond to your enquiry, to prepare for and deliver any work we agree together, and to stay in touch where you have asked us to.
Starting or submitting an enquiry never adds you to a marketing list. If you separately opt in to hearing from us, we may send you occasional thinking and updates. Every message includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can also ask us to stop at any time by emailing frances@worthbuilding.io.
A Value Proof early-access request lets us respond about that request, including whether access can be offered. It does not sign you up for newsletters, promotional campaigns or unrelated product updates.
We will never sell your data or share it for someone else's marketing.
Our legal basis
We process your enquiry details because you have given them to us in order to start a conversation, and because we have a legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, understanding how the website is used and running our practice. Where you have opted in to marketing, we rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
You can object to processing based on legitimate interest at any time by emailing frances@worthbuilding.io.
How long we keep it
Abandoned partial enquiries are deleted automatically after 30 days.
Submitted enquiries are kept for as long as they are useful to our relationship with you, including any work that follows, and are deleted when they are no longer needed or when you ask us to.
Where your data lives
Your data is stored with our cloud hosting, database and email providers, who process it on our behalf under their own data protection commitments. Some of these providers store data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on the safeguards they are required to have in place for international transfers.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time for a copy of the data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it. Email frances@worthbuilding.io and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would always rather hear from you first so we can put things right.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page. This version was last updated on 1 November 2026.
